OPERCULECTOMIA
Es el procedimiento quirurgico mediante el cual se hace una diseccion de la encia que cubre a un diente que esta en erupción, se puede realizar con un bisturi o con un equipo laser CO2, ER: YAG, Nd:YAG, en este caso con este ultimo. La zona mas común es en los terceros molares inferiores, que suelen presentar pericoronitis que es la infección en la periferia de un diente regularmente en erupción, en el cual se atrapa la comida provocando aumento de placa bacteriana que a la vez lleva a dicha infección.
Paciente masculino de 18 años de edad, en cual acude a la clinica por presentar molestias en el espacio retromolar del maxilar inferior de el lado izquierdo. Al cual se le diagnostica PERICORONITIS.
Se infiltra lidocaina al 2% y se procede a realizarle una operculectomia con LASER Nd:YAG.
La energia que se utiliza es 1.8 w (60 mj., 30 hz) laser Nd:YAG Incisive
Aspecto despues de haber realizado el tratamiento quirurgico, notose el aspecto del tejido la fotovaporizacion fue excelente y el sangrado que hubo fue muy leve
